“Samotsvety Prikamya” Ethnic Culture Festival to be held on November, 12
On November, 12 there will be held the online Festival of Finno-Ugric ethnicities “Samotsvety Prikamya” (Rus. “The Precious of Prikamye”). Traditionally, it is held live every two years in different areas of Bashkortostan, settled by Finno-Ugric peoples.
Also, in the context of the event there will be held a seminar on the “Ethnic and culture diversity of the Finno-Ugric peoples, living in the Republic of Bashkortostan. Importance of cultural institutions in the preservation of ethnic identity”. At this event participants will represent the Komi Region, the Republic of Tatarstan, The Mari El Republic, Estonia and the Republic of Bashkortostan.
There will be held a lot of catching workshops on musical instrument-making, rug weaving, basketwork, folk toys, accessories, etc.
The festival is organized by the Ministry of culture of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Republican Center of Folk Arts; the House of Peoples’ Friendship of the Republic of Bashkortostan, municipal administration of Krasnokamsky, Kaltasinsky, Tatyshlinsky districts of Bashkortostan and the city of Neftekamsk.
