Derbake
Derbaké is a percussion instrument of Arabic origins used throughout the middle east and in many other countries. Long time ago they were made of ceramic and very fine goat leather. Nowadays it is made out of plastic wood or metal and fiber glass. It is played in all festive ceremonies such as weddings, parties, anniversaries or to welcome someone. It brings joy when it’s played. Generally, Derbaké in almost present in all Dabké songs. Dabké is the traditional Lebanese dance.
