Tambores de bomba

Tambores de bomba are known as “barriles” (barrels). They are two drums called Primo (left) and the Buleador (right). When playing the bomb, there can be many Buleador barrels, but only one Primo barrel. Before starting to dance, people should greet the drum Primo. This greeting means respect towards the drum and the musician. Playing such an instrument is a challenge between the dancers and the musician. This challenge is known as picketing. The picket must be improvised without losing elegance, and much less the speed of the rhythm.
