Teppo accordion

Teppo accordion is a type of accordion designed by the Estonian craftsman August Teppo (1875-1949). The accordions are often praised for being very well-made and their accuracy of work. They are often very richly decorated and main woods used for the instrument include maple and apple tree. It usually has three or four rows of keys, its tuning principle is natural and it’s only possible to play in major keys. Because it’s played on the knees and has a lot of metal ornaments, players of the instrument often complain about it wearing down their clothes.
