Askinsky district has held the Republican folk festival “Shezhere bayramy” (Family tree festival). This year it was associated with the Year of Memory and Glory in the Russian Federation and the Year of the Bashkir language in the Republic of Bashkortostan. The program of the festival was abundant and held along with the 90th anniversary of the Askinsky district. The opening of the festival was attended by high officials including Ranis Altynbaev, the Deputy Minister of culture of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
An essential part of the event was a theater performance, directed by Redik Ganeev. Beside contests of family trees, family tree designers’ and children’s family tree pictures, this year was the first parade of the north-eastern Bashkir tribes.
The audience of the festival got acquainted with shezheres (family trees), experienced people’s culture participating in the workshops of ethnic cuisine and making of traditional attire’s details and jewelry.
The festival was rounded with the awarding of the winners and open-air concert by the participants of the All-Russian youth song festival “Yashlek show-2020”, as well as with performances of the family talent show “Gailaem – minen kaelgam” (“My family – my castle”).
